Description

This is our one-piece replacement for the factory intake coupler on the 2023+ Civic Type R (FL5) and 2024+ Integra Type S (DE5). Four-layer silicone, an anodized billet aluminum EVAP valve adapter, and titanium hardware, in place of Honda's three-piece connection and plastic elbow. No check engine light, no tuning.

What it does

Honda connects the intake to the turbo inlet with three separate pieces and a plastic elbow, which they call a Jet Purge Air Flow Joint Assembly. It works, and it's cheap to build at scale, which was the point. Every joint is a clamp, though, and every clamp is somewhere a leak can start. The elbow is also sold as an assembly, so snap one port during an install and you're buying the whole thing.

Silicone is the right material for a part living between a turbocharger and an engine. It stays flexible across a temperature range where plastic gets brittle, it absorbs engine movement instead of transmitting it, and four bonded layers hold their shape instead of ballooning. Plastic rarely fails dramatically. It just gets old and cracks, usually at the worst possible time.

The EVAP valve moves from plastic to anodized billet aluminum, machined from solid rather than molded, with titanium hardware so nothing corrodes. The adapter puts the valve exactly where the factory elbow put it, with the same hose diameters, so the ECU reads what it expects to read.

Install

The factory assembly unclamps, this clamps in, and the EVAP purge valve moves to the billet adapter with two supplied titanium screws. No cutting, no drilling, nothing to splice. About 10 minutes with basic hand tools.

Hand tight only. This isn't a pressurized connection and it doesn't need force to seal. Titanium and carbon will bend or crack before they give you any warning.
